So yeah…my face was on the Record Store Day flyer this year thanks to my friend Kimi Recor who does pretty rad art. It was like that one time that my face appeared on David Letterman and my bandmate Chris had enough excitement for 20 people and no one else cared! Thank you Chris for supporting my likeness! You can figure that one out on your own though…
All in all record store day was pretty fun. There were so many shows that I didn’t even know where to start, so I just stayed in one place.
I ran into my friend Josh in front of Origami Vinyl (which happens to be the best record store in the world)!! They were hosting an online game show called Vinyl Rewind about music trivia. It’s actually a pretty amazing show and you all should tune in and watch it!

Black Flamingo got to play the Desert Daze Festival this year in Desert Hot Springs thanks to Moon Block Party! NO and Races ended up doing a cover of Leonerd Cohen’s song “Lover, Lover.” It was magical.
Earlier in the day I got to visit my favorite darling Julie who works her butt off for Generic Surplus who graciously supplies us poor artists with Shoes (Thank you!) And of course Neil from Origami (the best record store in the world) eats a steak burger, ohhh…
